Shino Can’t Say Her Own Name (known in Japan as Shino-chan wa Jibun no Namae ga Ienai), a manga by Shuzo Oshima about a high school girl struggling with a speech impediment that makes socializing difficult, is being adapted into a live-action film that will hit theaters in Japan in July of 2018. The 200 page volume features 50 visuals, design material material from original character designer Yu Ito, and a round-table discussion with Ito, director Tatsuyuki Nagai an anime character designer Michinori Chiba. After successful theatrical debuts in the United States, the Digimon Adventure tri. anime film series is officially preparing to continue the trend in 2018. Fathom Events and Toei Animation announced plans to bring the final three films, Digimon Adventure tri.: LossDigimon Adventure tri.: Coexistence, and Digimon Adventure tri.: Future to U.S. theaters, with their respective premieres scheduled for February, May, and September.

Voice actress Kaori Sadohara (Date A Live’s Tamae Okamine, Isuca’s Tamako) has announced her marriage to 41 year-old voice actor Yoshihisa Kawahara. The two had worked together on Nichijou – My Ordinary Life, where she was Haruna Annaka (the girl with the inordinately large ribbon) and he was Koujirou Sasahara (the aristocratic kid with the glasses and jabot). This of course was too cute for Nichijou manga Keiichi Arawi not to revive series for a joke.
