A four episode live-action drama in December 2017 will be followed by a movie in January 2018

The plans for the live-action adaptation of Ritz Kobayashi’s Saki Achiga-hen episode of Side-A have been officially announced. The format and timing will be similar to the first live-action adaptation of the moe mahjong manga. A four episode live-action drama in December 2017 will be followed by a movie in January 2018.

Series inspired a 2013 TV anime

This Wednesday’s issue 42 of Weekly Shonen Sunday has announced that Hiroshi Fukuda’s Joujuu Senjin!! Mushibugyo samurai fantasy manga will end in issue 42, out on September 20th. Volume 31 of the 2011 series (there was also a 2009 predecessor) will be released in Japan on September 15th. It also inspired a 2013 TV anime. More after the  jump.
